Welcome to the $100 room makeover featuring our rental bathroom. With a limited budget and rental friendly DIYs we transformed the space!
Greetings! It’s finally time to share the big reveal for The $100 Room Makeover. I’ve been working on our rental bathroom for the last month and it has undergone quite the transformation.
Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4
Here’s what we started with…
After we asked the landlord to replace the vanity and flooring, I only spent $100 making over the rest of the bathroom. Here’s the reveal!
Last week I shared rental friendly DIYS to add personality to the space and now the space is pretty darn cute! Definitely a bathroom we can enjoy for the next couple of years.
The bamboo shelving added much needed to storage for our towels and laundry supplies.
And Mediterranean colors with a pineapple print and a couple of plants tie the space in with the rest of our Japanese rental.
Here’s how I spent the $100.
To do list:
Ask landlord for vanity replacement – free
Add a storage unit between the vanity and laundry – $39.99 (I already purchased the bamboo bathroom shelves from the mood board.)
Place storage baskets on shelves to hold laundry supplies – $10.00 each (plus a DIY!)
Hang pineapple print – already owned
New hand towels blue and white – $20.00
Blue and white accents – stick on tiles; $3, and hanging plant; $9, Soaps and jar; $11
New rugs – $6
Total spent: $99 Wahoo!!
You can get the look with these key elements!

I just saw those sticker tiles on television the other day! People were doing floors with them… totally thought of your bathroom… which looks amazing, by the way. I think the purchase of the bamboo shelf was a great decision, and I love your DIY baskets. Thanks for joining in another round of the $100 Room Challenge!!!
