Good morning blog world. Yesterday my Sweetie and I took advantage of both of our kids being in school (for the first time!) and had a wonderful leisurely date in New Bern. It is such a cute little town with moss covered trees, beautiful old churches and buildings, and plenty of shopping and sight seeing. Here are some of my favorite stops that we enjoyed throughout the day.
A holiday boutique. Saw this cute gold polka dotted candle at the front of the store and it turned out to be the only thing I was interested in. It reminded me that I have a few gold sharpie markers that haven’t been used in a while….
(A little Halloween gift for the kiddies when my spooky decor comes out!)
A little gift for me! Hoping for blog layouts and journaling inspiration from these.
The local hardware store, Mitchel’s Hardware.
It had tons of great kitchen items and carried brands I have seen featured in Country Living magazine. I was impressed!
If the numbered knives hadn’t cost an arm and a leg, they would have made it home.
Some very country but some cute textiles.
And a candle that was a little more in my price range.
It smells delicious.
These old buildings are just beautiful!
My cheesy smile! I only get one shot when my husband takes a picture. =)
This art piece is really neat. It is made form recycled bottles.
And a really cool sting ray sculpture in the garden.
The garden area out back is used for gallery walks, festivals, and other events.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. I can’t wait to show you what I have been working on. Tomorrow I will let you in on the scoop.
