To Serve or Not to Serve

How many of you use a buffet or a sideboard?  Do you decorate it or use it to hold useful items?  Just food for thought today….

If you are unsure of the function for the surface of your buffet, think about using it for useful items and a lovely display! Maybe a few dishes that are often used, drinks set up ready to go,  a fruit bowl, or a stack of your favorite recipe books.

If you don’t have a traditional buffet/sideboard, a dresser, bar cart, or even an Ikea Expedit bookcase on its side works.

My Outcome: I dressed up our winter vignette with a tray set up for warm-spiced wine, plum wine, and hazelnut creme almonds.  Something to enjoy when friends come over or just with my husband after work. Isn’t that a nice thought for the end of the day?

    1. Nichole, I LOVE dressers being used as buffets. I wish I had found one before we bought our buffet. 😉 Thanks for stopping by!
