Treat Your Kitchen Window

Option 1:  Use something unusual.   Instead of curtains, use pretty items that let light through.  Here is a beautiful  display of bottles and antique kitchen towels.

I love the shelf that was added to this kitchen window, but of course the stunning antique window display is the focal point.

Create your own valance with a painted sign.

Option 2:  Go ahead and hang curtains but try a trendy fabric and modern hardware to give it a fresh appeal.

My Outcome:  Something unusual, of course! I just love using items I already have and this window display showcases my favorite post cards and pictures.  (picture wire wrapped around two little nails + miniature clothes pins= super easy project)SONY DSC

Do you have window treatments that need updating? A bare window sill that could use a little love? Are you up for the challenge?

I would love to hear your ideas and thoughts! Leave me a comment, let’s chat.

    1. Oh, that is a little sad… I had them hanging in our family room framed with curtain panels in our old house. Thanks for stopping by Dawn!

  1. Kathy, I love these! My favorites are the bottles and dresser scarves, the antique window-in-a-window, and the post cards and pictures! ♥ You’ve really got my wheels turning- thanks for the ideas!
