Are you a natural decorator?

Hello there. Well, I have been having technical issues and it took up the majority of my “blogging” time the last two days.  I am so sorry I missed publishing a post yesterday but thank you dear readers for still coming by for a visit.  It made me happy to see that even with technical issues and not being able to publish a post I still had just has many readers as usual.  I love you guys. 😉 Your visits give me encouragement when I am dealing with issues (sometimes beyond my control or experience). Okay, enough sappiness.  Ha!

Or should I say are you OBSESSED with decorating?

  Things I do and want to know if you do them too or am I just nuts!!   😉

You know you are an interior decorator at heart…

1. When you walk into someone’s house and you immediately change the furniture placement for better flow/conversation and start restyling  in your head.

2. When you put on an outfit and wonder how the colors, patterns, and textures would look in your living room.

3.  When your friend calls and asks what color of bath mat should she buy for her house and you stay up all night imagining how you would decorate the ENTIRE bathroom, then the bedroom, then the living room……. style cure shopping list2-001

4.  When you check your mailbox and discover a decor magazine, you react the same way Adam Sandler did in Billy Madison.

5.  If the term “shop your house” makes sense and you find yourself quite successful at it.

 6.  If there is a standing rule that you are NOT allowed to buy more throw pillows but you know the way around it is pillow covers.pillows

7.  If the decor in your house changes at least once a month, if not once a week.

8. If you own at least 6 cans of spray paint.
9. If you like shopping at Lowe’s as much as your husband.
10. If you eat, breath, and think interior design!

  1. I am laughing at owning “at least” 6 cans of spray paint. I would rather new color spray paint than a new color nail polish. Great post.

  2. I worked as a Design Assistant for over 10 years in a small Interior Design . Remodeling and Building firm. It was a great job, and I never knew how much fun coordinating colors, textures, fabrics and furniture was until I worked there. I still use what I learned today, still enjoy looking at design ideas, and pinning my dream palettes and things for my home.

  5. My husband is much more natural than I am when it comes to the decor used in our home. I’m over the top sometimes he says but really, I just love color!

    1. I love color too Stephanie!! Anytime I try to go more neutral, it just doesn’t stay that way for very long. 🙂

  7. LOL – well this hits home! I would say I am a #3, #5, #7, #8 and #9 girl … except that I like Lowe’s more than my husband… and the paint guys know me by name! Sad but true!
