Shopping, Eating, and Seeing in Tokyo

Hi friends.  I’m trying my best to stay on top of projects but honestly (as with most of us during the summer I think!) they tend to hit the back burner or at least take a little longer.  I do however have a few beautiful images that I wanted to share with you from my trip to Tokyo.   If you missed a Tokyo museum from a Decorator’s perspective, you can find it here.)  I was only there for the weekend but we took in a lot of sites.  We followed an awesome itinerary that my friend had planned but we just happened to stumble upon this beautiful Shinto Shrine.  SONY DSC

Since it was just three of us ladies on the trip, we also got away with lots of shopping. 🙂  I couldn’t get enough of pretty dishes. SONY DSC

So many great patterns and colors.  SONY DSC

I love using Japanese cups for little plants and utensil holders. SONY DSC

I’m more of a coffee drinker right now but this little tea pot is so pretty!SONY DSC SONY DSC

The little bowls and dishes (used for soy sauce and other condiments) are great for holding jewelry and other trinkets. SONY DSC

Utensil rests are just smart!

There’s also a store in Japan called Franc Franc.  We actually have one in Okinawa but I haven’t been there yet. 😉 The one in Tokyo had a lot of great finds with decent prices.  It has more “western style” decor so it was a nice treat. baskets-storage wall-art greens clocks franc-franc-bags

Of course, the food there was amazing.  Here are couple of my faves.  A little Phillipino Dim Sum resturant with the prettiest interior.

Yep! An actual “beach” in the restaurant.

Well that was a random assortment of pics.  I hope you enjoyed seeing a little of Tokyo.  We are planning our trip to Kyoto next!
