Hi there! Whew, I am finally feeling much better. So sorry for the late post today but my cold just got the best of me. I was literally in bed for two days. This morning I went back to my other posts this week to make sure there weren’t any blatant errors since I was pretty much high on cold meds.
Since when do colds knock you on your rear? As with everything else, I will just blame it on getting older. If only somebody had told me it all falls apart after 30. lol 😉 Okay, okay! Welcome to Day 5 of the Fall series!!
I literally did this project this morning. 😉 It was awesome.
Chalkboard Fall Sign
So I had other plans for today’s DIY but this morning I eyed a little wall hanging in the kitchen that I have been meaning to paint over. For months I have been trying to come up with a cute, trendy idea. Well my friends, today I knew it’s purpose. I pulled out my Poppies paint powder, mixed it into some left over paint and created a chalkboard. Here is my little sign before.
Cute, but just like every other chain store decor.

Poppies dries really fast, hence why I was able to do the project THIS morning. Here’s the sign with one coat of paint.
10 minutes later, I added a second coat.
10 minutes after that, I wrote my little Fall message on it and started moving furniture and things around for a Fall vignette.
I love it with my little Velvet pumpkins and Fall quote. Now I have something to practice my chalk calligraphy on!
