Sorry I missed you again yesterday! I had a crazy weekend with family in town (and a second Christmas), a day trip, and to top it off some technical difficulties with my blog which I spent most of my blogging time fixing. All is well now. 😉 There are a lot of things going on in our house that I can’t wait to show you. One room you haven’t seen yet is my son’s, so I am sharing some “before” pics today. You can expect to see a few DIY projects and decorating tips for children spaces in the next couple of weeks. There is little vintage, eclectic, nautical, and other things going on right now so I will be working on narrowing it down to a focused style.
Please excuse the dust. 😉 I love this little print from IKEA. The lantern lamp is from Lowes.
Right now there is a collection of masks above the headboard but that is going to change soon.
I’m going to be sharing with you an easy makeover idea for the dresser without painting the entire thing.
I found this hand-carved rocking horse at an antique store in Chesapeake, VA a few years back without a price tag. The guy let me have it for $5. Awesome score! Just not sure where he should go now…
Oh, we can add horse and hound to his room decor. I found this cross stitch at a farmer’s market for $5 and the painted the oak frame white. It’s so cute, but as you can see, a lot of different things are going on this room.
This weekend I also went thrifting while my mom was in town. I snagged a crochet antique pillow for $6 for my office chair and some cheese knives with fleur-de-lis ends (also $6).
These cute little rice bowls were a great find at a $1 a pop and will be perfect to use in the kitchen and other places to corral jewelry or office supplies. A wooden tray for $4 (stay tuned for a makeover), and four brass napkins rings for 75¢.
Regular postings are back in progress, YAY! Check you later alligator,
