Hola! I finally finished my latest DIY project. It took two and half weeks because I kept running out of my material. Sea shells. But I can’t complain about taking long walks on the beach. 😉 It turned out just as lovely as I had imagined and although time consuming, this was an easy project.
DIY Seashell Wreath
Materials for sea shell wreath:
hot glue gun and a lot of glue sticks
styrofoam wreath form
seashells- lots. of. them. 😉
I’m not sure what’s up with the psychedelic picture on the label but all that came in this package was the wreath. 🙂 (source: Walmart)
My first batch of seashells. I used about four times this many. My son came with me on this particular walk so there are a few dead carcasses to the side.
How to assemble a seashell wreath:
Glue those babies on! It’s like putting together a puzzle but you want your pieces to overlap to hide the wreath form. Try collecting little shells to fill in the holes at then end of gluing. I worked in small sections at a time and went all the way around the wreath. If you are hanging yours on a solid door or wall, you could get away with leaving them off the back side.
I made sure the back of the wreath was covered since my front door panel is glass.
Now it feels like a beach home when you walk in! Have you made a summer wreath yet?
Thanks so much for stopping by,
