Good morning dears! I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s weekend whether you spent it with family, your significant other, or friends. One of my friends hosted a Valentine’s breakfast and another a dinner so mine was fun. Thanks for asking! 😉
I make it a point to support charities with purchases through companies that donate a portion of the proceeds whenever I get the chance. Today I wanted to share with you an international charity for children, Operation Smile, and how you can support it by using Campus Book Rentals and their sister site Rentback.
Operation smile is the largest volunteer-based medical charity providing free cleft surgeries. Since 1982 they have provided more than 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with facial deformities.
Their mission is to transform lives across the world with the generous hearts of volunteers and supporters by repairing childhood facial deformities like cleft lip and cleft palate that can cause ear disease, dental problems, abnormal speech development, and make it difficult for the child to eat or drink.
You can donate directly through Operation Smile.
Another way to help support Operation Smile is by using Campus Book Rentals for any college students in your life. They have some fantastic perks like:
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
They also have live customer support, the largest selection in the nation, and they donate a portion to Operation Smile.
If you have text books lying around (like me), Campus Book Rentals also has another awesome program Rentback that allows you to rent your textbooks to other students, which is awesome because you can make 2-4x more money compared to buyback options! Isn’t that great?! Keep that in mind when you start your Spring cleaning this year and come across all of your old textbooks!! I know I will be taking advantage of it.
Do you have a heart for charities or any textbooks to make money off of? 😉

Your table settings are always so beautiful, but many of us don’t have the taste or resources for fancy tables. Are there some easy inexpensive tricks to use in making just a routine table setting used by many common people look more special?
Kathy says
Yes! You can always search your house for pretty items to make a centerpiece, use a think blanket, curtain panel, or even wrapping paper for a table cloth/runner. Mix and match your dishes! Think outside the box so you don’t have to spend a penny!!
