Hello and how are you today? =) As you may have noticed, I have an eclectic taste when it comes to home decor and design. Most of my Christmas decorations are traditional so when I add something new (or make something), it is modern (or rustic). I just love mixing in modern elements with my traditional Christmas decor and wanted to share some Modern Christmas Inspiration with you.
These are a few of my favorite things….
(Please pin images from their original sources!)
Raindrops on roses This Christmas tree (from HGTV) with its bare yet shimmery limbs is simple and lovely with a modern color palette of mustard yellow and blue.
Snowballs on a window. I love anything wintery and creative, saving this DIY project for later!
Gorgeous ombre blue Christmas trees. If you want to try this one, you can find my tree cone tutorial here.
Beautiful white, felt stockings with a bright colored ribbon. Would I be crazy to have two sets of stockings? Our original baby ones and a decorative set for display? I would love to make these!!
Modern nutcrackers and Santas. Need I say more? Adorable.
A snowy white Christmas tree pillow. Simple and elegant.
You can purchase this pillow through Etsy here.
A porcelain nativity scene made to look like origami. This is my favorite modern nativity set (which is lots of $$$ and is currently out of stock *sigh*)! I do have a beautiful one that my mother gave me that you will see later on this week.
How do you feel about modern Christmas decor? Are you strictly traditional? Or do you like to mix it up?
