Hi there friends.  Guess what?  My wallpaper came! Woot woot.  It actually only took a week for it arrive which is a small miracle since we live on Okinawa with a military address. kitchen-pineapple-swiss-cross-decals-diy-renter-friendly

This week I was able to get a lot done.  I finished removing the adhesive on the cabinets from the previous contact paper in preparation for the beautiful removable wallpaper that will be facing them soon!  It took a few hours, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, and a 80’s rock album (and maybe a cocktail or two!).

The tiles got a renter friendly makeover with DIY black swiss crosses.

First, I marked the tiles with a bit of washi tape to create a pattern. kitchen swiss cross placement

Then I used a ruler to measure two inch strips of black washi for the swiss cross pattern. Swiss cross diy

The washi tape is really easy to reposition and the entire wall took about 45 minutes. kitchen orc swiss cross diy

Since I cleared the countertops for the DIY swiss cross tiles, I went ahead and created a more organized countertop as I put things back.  Did you notice my Minted Pineapple art on the windowsill?

Yesterday I shared the kitchen table set update, you can find the DIY HERE.  I love the hint of mint it features! ktichen table set makeover with color blocking
