Hi there. First, I want to say Happy Birthday to the USMC! My husband and I attended two Marine Corps balls (in two different states) this weekend to celebrate the 239th birthday.
I’m excited to announce that Monday through Friday this week will be Up to Date Interiors’ Thanksgiving Series. Let’s get started with a Thanksgiving banner! Last week I made quite a few changes to our living/dining room. It’s funny, even with a move coming up in just a month, I’m still rearranging and redecorating. My family thinks I’m crazy! I can’t help myself. 😉 One of the biggest changes was moving our huge pink, purple, and blue print downstairs and bringing up a mirror for the buffet.
I decided to move it so I could work with a neutral backdrop for my holiday posts.
See? Big difference. 🙂 Okay, for today’s Thanksgiving post, I created a Thanksgiving “gather” banner to add to my vignette. I used all left over supplies from previous projects.
Faux white leather fabric
Gold paint marker
Cut one triangle out of the fabric and use it as a template for five more
Use a stencil or free hand the letters g-a-t-h-e-r
Punch holes in the top left and right corners
Thread ribbon through and hang!
The vignette on the buffet just needed simple touches of Thanksgiving decor this year. The “gather” banner was perfect. I’m really enjoying the simplicity of it.
For a temporary centerpiece on the dining room table, I placed a few items that reminded me of Thanksgiving and Fall.
