Handmade Christmas Decor: Day 3

Today’s handmade Christmas Decor is a project I have been wanting to do for awhile.  I can’t take all of the credit for it.  My inspiration came from Danny Seo’ UpCycling. (you can find it here if you are interested in reading it)

If you have a solid color pillow that needs a little makeover, this is a great project.  All you need is safety pins (this one I wouldn’t recommend for the kids regardless of the “safe” in safety pins). 😉

I printed off a snowflake template but decided to eyeball the safety pins for placement. You could, however, pin right through the template and rip the paper off after you have created a snowflake shape.

I would have loved to use tiny gold pins but I was keeping this project free so I have a silver snowflake.

I love how it sparkles.
