Beach House Before and After
Greetings friends. As I was looking through last year’s pictures of our current beach house rental, I realized there have been a lot of changes in just a few short months. Let’s have a little “Before and After” for fun!
Before
The dining room “corner” was too dark. All of our nice wood furniture seemed to be grouped together in one spot. Boo.
After
I split up our dining table set with chairs found on Craigslist and World Market and hung a bright piece of art to lighten up the buffet area.
The living room coffee table and desk were painted, plus I made an easy diy slipcover for the black leather club-chair and new styling for the bookcase.
The back of the bookcase has been covered with two different fabrics and once with wrapping paper. You can read about it here and here.

My favorite change in the living room is our new rug and pillows on the couch.

I am really going to miss this house when we move to Okinawa next year. We actually received orders yesterday with a departure date of January 1st. SO EXCITED!!

I love the switch up you did with your dining chairs! It adds so much energy and interest to the space without distracting from the gorgeous wood. I am really loving that grey and white rug too!

The Before pictures looked really good and then you see the After?! Wow!! Love it 🙂 The most recent thing I have time to redecorate is my desk.
