Confetti DIY Dollar Store Vase
I just love a good dollar store craft and this DIY dollar store vase makeover is such an easy way to add a punch of color to your decor!
Hi there! I’m so glad you are here today. It’s been months since I’ve participated in a the Create and Share Challenge hosted by Pocketful of Posies and Creatively Homespun. But the stars finally aligned and here I am with some other amazing bloggers to share DIY vases. With Mother’s Day around the corner, these would make unique gift ideas!
DIY Confetti Dollar Store Vase
Here’s what you need:
- A dollar store vase
- Your favorite nail polish colors
How to:
Use the darkest nail polish first and create dots using the nail polish brush. To achieve a confetti shape, wipe off excess paint and brush the paint on using a short motion. For more of a polka dot shape, dip your brush and lightly touch the vase with the tip of the brush.
As you come up the vase, use fewer dots.
Repeat with the next darkest color and so on.
Come back to the darkest color for your very last coat of “confetti.”
Let dry for a hour before use!
It will brighten any corner of a room! Fresh flowers, a branch, or even fun pompom stir sticks or paper straws would be super cute in this. Decorate bud vases with “confetti” for your guests to take home as party favors!

Love the idea of using nail polish in place of paint Kathy! It is super pretty too 🙂
Thanks Tara!
This is such a clever idea, I love it!
Thank you Meg!
Super cute! Love the colors you chose too Kathy!!
Thanks Steph! They were the only bright colors I had. Apparently I wear a lot of dark red polish… lol
