DIY Aged American Flag
How are you today my friends? As promised, here is another Fourth of July project and it’s under $10! After I restyled my living room with Old Glory’s colors, I wondered how I would decorate my dining room with the huge pink, purple, and blue art piece.
I decided the best thing to do would be to hang a flag over it. I made a quick trip to the hardware store and bought a 3′ x5′ flag for around $8.
DIY Aged American Flag
To age the flag, I brewed four Lipton tea bags and added just enough water to completely submerge the flag. It sat for about three hours. I then rinsed it and tossed it into the dryer.
I simply used double sided sticky squares to hang the flag over my art.
My best friend’s photography and a printable helped complete the vignette. You can find the printable here.
This may be the cheapest wall art I have done for the biggest impact. (Apart from my daughter’s 99cent wall gallery.)
I can’t believe Independence day is next week! Do you have any big plans?
