Friday Feature
Good morning! So nice to be back. *sigh* I have truly missed waking up, brewing coffee, and hopping on my computer to chat with you.
Sometimes, I feel like the nighttime radio host wondering if there is anyone listening, just waiting for one caller…. I get so excited when I see someone commenting on my post! =)
We have had over 8500 views which just makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
Okay, so on to Friday Feature.
This is a kitchen by Genevieve Gorder, one of my favorite designers. I love the way her style incorporates vintage pieces, earthy tones, and modern amenities.
Isn’t she pretty?
Here are five ways to apply this room to your space.
Using open shelving helps the kitchen to breathe and is a great way to display pretty dishes or canisters.
Even though this kitchen is kept neutral, adding in mixed metals, such as the copper mixer, keeps the kitchen visually appealing.
Applying two different colors of paint on cabinetry (such as light on upper, dark on lower), will give the kitchen a custom look, even if the cabinets are out of a box
Adding hardware is the easiest and most cost effective way to change or upgrade a kitchen. The sleek and modern style of this hardware gives a nice contrast to the warmth of the wooden floors. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon. Next week posts include a home tour, a fun quiz for you to participate in, and our summer review.

Love Genevieve as well!! She’s been one of my favorites from way back in Trading Spaces… love that kitchen light!!
Thanks Lori, I loved watching her on trading spaces, she had such funky ideas. Definitely an out of the box thinker!!
That kitchen is gorgeous. I’ve been gathering ideas for re-doing ours, and I love the gray.
Thanks Adrianne. What an exciting project for you and good luck!!
