Back to the Daily Grind…Almost
Hi y’all, I’m back!
We have had a lot of changes around here. The two biggest ones are that my husband has returned from deployment and my younger sister is living with us while she attends college. Our daughter’s birthday happened to be the same day as the homecoming so she was surprised with the best birthday present a girl could ever have. =)

Now that our family is complete and school is right around the corner, I can spend more time with you.
While I was in Texas, I couldn’t stop myself from bringing back a few goodies. (A few trips to Anthropologie, IKEA, Home Goods, and World Market.) Let me share them with you!
Here are a couple of new pillow covers (IKEA) for my “constantly- in- progress” living/dining room.
I love the pop of lime green in them, it mimics the green in a dining room art piece and an added green throw blanket that is resting on the bench in the living room.
Here is the full view of the couch.
Our dining room is coming together nicely. I had mentioned in a previous post (you can find it here with some “before” pictures) that I might be switching tables with my business partner but after I found a great deal on some chairs, I decided to switch out the seating instead. The table runner is a curtain panel from IKEA that I trimmed to size. The pair of Louie-style chairs are from World Market and the Rattan chairs came with a table set I found on Craigslist for a womping $45! I have already painted them “pebble” and will cover the seat cushions with a kid friendly fabric soon.
Here you can see the pop of green!
The matching table (which I left natural) is now on my screened in porch with a newly painted bench (white) and chairs (aqua) from an existing bistro set.
Oh, and one of my favorite goodies, this gorgeous pot from Anthropologie. I just need to find a plant!
Love how cozy this old black wrought iron bench is with a seat cushion and positioned “banquette style” in the corner. We have already used this seating area more in the last two weeks than we have the previous set in the last year.
Oh, and I found this garden seat for under $50 at Tuesday Morning. Quite a few new things made it back “cross country” with me!!
There is a little more to share, but I will save it for later. So here’s back to the daily grind!
Have you found or bought any goodies lately? Leave me a comment and let me know!
I love the porch furniture! and new redesigned dining room.
Thank you! We are finally using the screened in porch. Wish I could hang curtains up and my candelabra next… I do need a few plants out there. Come see us soon!
Awesome living spaces! I love those new pillows! I can live in Ikea 🙂
I have been doing a lot better about sewing or purchasing pillow covers instead of just buying more pillows. I donated 12 throw pillows last week….it might be a problem. =) The herringbone pillow covers I found on Etsy.
I love Anthropologie, but it’s a tad bit out of my budget (well, actually a lot out of my budget, lol). I really love your sofa and the gallery wall above it, great job!
Whitney
My pot was $20 from Anthropologie, I was shocked it was only $20 but it still was a splurge!! Thanks for the sweet comments.
