More Seattle Style

|
Good afternoon my darling readers.  Nothing like a gust of hot wind and 100 degree weather to remind me that I am back in the hot state of Texas.
There are many exciting pictures to show you this week of my friends’ house in Kirkland and a little bit of Seattle.  I will also be sharing a post on my favorite Red, White, and Blue rooms in honor of Independence day!

So, let’s start with the front of Jamie and Kevin’s house.

Their garden includes gorgeous hydrangeas, roses, and hostas, which they have placed around the house.  We did actually have quite a bit of blue skies after the first drizzly day.
I shared with you last week their living room, here is the adjoining dining room and then the breakfast area that is located with the family room and kitchen.

The photography displayed on the wall is original and the cloth napkins are from Anthropology.
Here is the adorable breakfast nook….(I love seeing mixed pieces!)
My friend and I enjoyed breakfast in this spot every morning overlooking the garden.  The window and glass doors made the space feel like part of the outside.
Isn’t it darling?
So, in downtown Kirkland they have these crosswalk flags that I had fun with and maybe shouted a few times before I crosses the street, “Wait! I need a flag!!!”
Next time, I will show you the nursery that we had worked on during my visit and my friend’s  photography skills (and decorating talents).
Also, coming up soon, more of my sister and her boyfriend’s house.
Until next time,
