I’m so ready to start decorating for fall and Halloween but our house is half empty. I’ll be adding touches here and there while we are still waiting for our final furniture shipment (with all of my decor and crafting items!).
If you’ve been around a while, you know that I like seasonal colors and textures more than actual holiday decor. Although you will definitely find pumpkins laying around! To me, it’s more about a feeling or mood and good design.
I love to shop my house and arrange vignettes that don’t scream Fall but incorporate warm hues, metallics, outside treasures, and coziness, then I’m happy. Here are some of my all-time favorite fall vignettes and decor with helpful decorating tips!
Gorgeous Bright and Colorful Fall Vignettes and Decor
By just swapping out a couple of pillow covers or wrapping a scarf around a neutral pillow in warm hues, you can change a cool room into a warm and cozy one.
Succulents look great all year but adding in berries, pinecones, and brass bells take this DIY wreath into the cooler months.
Every year, I try to come up with a new DIY for pumpkins. These Japanese umbrella inspired ones add so much color and a little quirkiness for traditional fall and can certainly make a statement.
I adore the soft texture and hues of my DIY velvet pumpkins. I’ve tried mixing my smaller ones with moss, pinecones, and shells; but my favorite is this metallic bowl with Japanese glass floats and coral.
Layers are always great but definitely more so for autumn! Try stacking books with accessories on top and mixing pinecones with everyday decor items corralled in a tray to get started!
A white background can really showcase pops of color. I carefully placed coordinating colors with books, art, and a garden stool for an eclectic colorful mix.
My most popular seasonal post ever are these copper pumpkins transformed from the dollar store. My favorite placement for them is in a lantern with plants and a deer head for a funky terrarium.
I adore setting eclectic and colorful tables for Fall. This one has a fun global twist and a few DIYs.
Floral arrangements don’t need to be in oranges and reds. Add a pop of metallic thorns to a feminine bouquet for a fall centerpiece.
Hygge can be practiced anytime of the year but I especially love the Danish practice of coziness for fall and winter. On a side note, blue and red is a wonderful palette for the season.
Another fun and global table setting. Change up a dinner night with noodles, chopsticks, and sake for a warm and delicious meal.
And nothing says fall like layering warm tones over more warm tones with lovely textures like textiles, concrete, plants, and wood.
