Throwback Thursday {our first house}
I’ve been wanting to do this post for awhile. The first time I created a blog was about 6 years ago when I was working on my graduate degree (which is why that blog didn’t make it!). My husband and I had bought our first house together and I wanted to write about all of our house projects. It was on a street called Knob Hill Dr which is what I used for the blog name.
We painted most of the walls on day one. In the four years we lived there, I had painted just about everything else. We didn’t have to deal with old wallpaper but I did paint a soot covered maroon brick fireplace, pine paneling, ceiling tiles with faux wood beams, black marbled tiles in the bathroom, and crown molding that was the color of barbie doll flesh. Ew! There was a sea life mural in the 2nd and 3rd bedroom and primary yellow and blue in the living room and kitchen. I got really good at painting! Here are some before and afters (unfortunately most of the rooms had already been painted in the befores). Please forgive my inexperienced photography skills.

Of course the front door couldn’t stay orange!

It was the perfect little house for our first home together. 🙂

Thanks Nancy! We miss that house. It was perfect for us and I loved the wood floors and crown molding.
