Hi y’all! First, thank you so much for reading this blog. Honestly, I can’t believe how MANY of you do!! It’s fantastic!!! I stumbled onto the “blogsphere” when I came across Centsational Girl, Home Stories A to Z, The Lettered Cottage, and 320*Sycamore in 2011 while I was finishing up my Master’s in Music Education.
Decorating has always been a passion of mine. In the past I have helped many friends and family update their spaces and continuously worked on changes in our home. I started my first personal blog to share my DIY and decorating adventures at that time. Here is what the blog looked like *nervous giggle*, it was pretty bad.
Here is a before and after from one of our projects in our old house.
The blog lasted only for a few months because I was too busy being a full-time student, holding multiple jobs, and trying to be a great mother and military wife. I had to re-prioritize.
After our most recent move and a fresh start in a new place, I decided to take the opportunity to enroll in an Interior Design class with a friend.
The class was so much fun and I was happy to discover that different parts of the class was old information for me. My favorite new skill was being able to draw renderings and designing a space (on paper) and it came very natural. I knew I had to share my growing passion with whoever would “listen”! Up to Date Interiors was created.
This time blogging was different. I had the time, passion, and drive to make it into something I could be proud of.
I started out on Blogger with my own domain and then last Fall made the switch to WordPress. Here is how Up to Date Interiors first appeared on blogger…
The name and slogan have remained the same but as you can see, I have a completely new look and I LOVE it!!
So thank you again for being here as a blogger, reading friend, or just someone passing by. Up to Date Interiors would not survive and strive without you! YOU are the most important part!!
Come back tomorrow for some embarrassing interesting and fun facts about Up to Date Interiors!
