As promised yesterday, here is our Coastal Thanksgiving Table Setting for Day 3 of Up to Date Interiors’ Thanksgiving series.
I kept the table setting simple with gold, white, gray, and aqua color palette. Using seashells, feathers, and pumpkins for Thanksgiving decor comes easily since we can literally hear the ocean waves from our porch yet our isle is still considered a country town.
I love using layers of different textures when setting a table. A scrap piece of fabric laid out on an angle (because of it’s irregular size) adds interest and sets the mood for this tablescape. I added our daily used lace table runner for more layering and to help calm down the busy pattern and colors of the fabric.
The seashell card place holders that I shared yesterday (you can find them here) contrast lovely with single feather on top of the white salad plate.
I had to crop out my foot on these bird eye images because I was standing on the table with my camera up in the chandelier trying to capture the entire table. Sometimes I wish I had “behind the scenes” shots to show you! lol
Friday I will post my Thanksgiving home tour. You can see that I used some of my white pumpkins from my pumpkin tree in my bookcase. 🙂
Now I’m off to work on some Christmas projects. 🙂
