The day is finally here. Our first complete room tour in our new Okinawan rental. Thanks to my sweet neighbor and her amazing photography skills, here is our Bathroom Tour.
It’s divided into two rooms. The first part has an entrance from the hallway and the master bath.
It’s so interesting living in a new country and getting used to a new way of living. Our house was built mostly in a western style but you can see elements of Japanese style and of course a lot of Japanese writing!
“Baths in Japan are for soaking and relaxing, not cleaning. Bathers are to clean off in a shower or faucet before they get into a bathtub. Japanese believe that the water purifies the body.”
A major eyesore in this space was the storage unit on the wall. I gave it more of a spa feeling with succulents, towels, facial peels, and a loofa!
The hose sits in the corner next to the toilet. It’s kind of funny.
It’s a wonderful space filled with so much natural sunlight. My plants love it in there and so do we!
