Happily Ever After

One Day Makeover Reveal
Hello my friends!  I can not believe it is already August. I am still in Texas but am heading back to North Carolina next week to welcome my husband home from deployment.
We have been so busy with traveling and planning parties that I have had barely any time to spend on you! I promise it will get better with my return. =)
My mom was recently married (to the greatest guy ever! ) and had their wedding celebration last weekend.  Mother wanted my sister and I to set up dueling pianos for the main entertainment so we did our best.  😉
Happily Ever After…..
It turned out wonderful and I had a blast planning some of the decor but more on that later….
As I told you before, my sister and I  put together a master bedroom for them at their lake
house as a wedding present, and with the help of our little sister, we installed it two days ago.  Our very limited budget allowed us to reuse and re-purpose existing items from the lake house and mom’s house.
Here is the room with some of the goodies on the bed including some baskets that mom had brought back from Africa many years ago….
We are using a  repurposed, more appropriate sized side table instead of this white end table.

Our little sis, Veronica, helping me install curtain rods.  Or at least holding up the wall!
 Almost finished!
And here is the reveal!

The baskets have a new home above the bed along with some new bedding (quilt from Garden Ridge), and a throw pillow (World Market).

Rob’s “new” side table was a $10 find that was painted green and styled with a new lamp (Home Goods) and some re-purposed books (from mom’s house).  The bucket trash can is one of the many antiques that Rob already owned.

Mom’s side of the bed already had a cute wicker table which now displays a freshly painted mallard duck and a second lamp.

I snagged this stool from the living room for a little perch by the french doors.

Mom and Rob loved the work done so far.  We added a little to the bathroom with a few accessories  and new shower curtain.

We still have a huge project that will need a bigger vehicle to transport before the room is completely finished.  Hopefully, that will happen in the next few days.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
