Tour our coastal North Carolina military family home full of renter friendly DIYs and decorating tips in coastal eclectic style.
Welcome! Here is our three story beach home (rental) on the coast of North Carolina that we enjoyed for two and half years. The military moves us around often, so we make the most of what ever our current living situation is. Emerald Isle will always have a special place in our hearts. If you are looking for more rental friendly decorating ideas and DIYs for small space living, find my best tips and tricks at Rental Decorating Ideas.

Screened In Porch
Our house has a welcoming curb appeal and a screened in porch that leads you to the front door.
Kitchen and Dining Room
We never do end up with a large kitchen but I was thankful for the white cabinetry and natural sunlight in this small area.
The sunlight continues into the living space with straw yellow walls (we weren’t allowed to paint so I worked with them!). The living room functioned as our main living space with my office and piano studio.
The master bedroom was big enough our queen bed but did not have much storage space. Luckily, the kids’ closets on the third floor stored our off season clothes and luggage.
The Family Room
Our Daughter’s Room
Our kiddos’ rooms were located on the third floor. My daughter’s room faced in the direction of the ocean and had a walk out balcony. My son’s room overlooked beautiful greenery and the inner-coastal water area where we loved to go clam hunting.
Thanks for visiting our home tour! You can find our next two homes in a new country. The USMC gave us orders to Japan and I’ve shared a modern Japanese home tour and a traditional Japanese rental home full of global eclectic inspiration.
