Now, on to today’s challenge. Drum roll please……..
Love Your Space Challenge #7
This is the first challenge that really only has one option! Go ahead and find some new or vintage, fun or elegant, pulls or knobs for you dresser, bedside table, chest, or armoire (did I hit one of the pieces of furniture in your bedroom?). This project is for any bedroom in your house and would be great for something that needs to be updated or new love.
Okay, maybe I will give you a second option. 😉 If you don’t want to splurge on new hardware, you could always spray paint your knobs/pulls a different metallic or a bright color to give your furniture a facelift. You would just need to seal it with polyurethane and let it cure for 3 days so it is scratch resistant. I have painted my hardware before and it turned out great!
I really like these.
My outcome: Well, I had already planned on changing out the hardware on our mission bedside tables that I have recently painted blue……
Amazon had just what I needed, 10 pulls for under $15, can’t beat that! Unfortunately my original knobs required two holes and my new knobs just one, so I had to fill the holes in with wood putty, sand, paint, and drill new holes. Easy peasy! I had been contemplating painting the drawer fronts with a contrasting white so I went for it!
What a huge difference. Do you think you will be taking on the challenge today?
Thanks for stopping by,
