Fourth of July Tablescape
Shop your local dollar store to create cute and modern patriotic decor from place mats to centerpieces in a fun table-scape this summer season.
Greetings! I wasn’t planning on creating a Fourth of July tablescape this year but after seeing some cool things at the 100 yen store, I decided to do a quick one. Who couldn’t say no these cute supplies? Make sure to check your local dollar store or bins at your favorite retail store for red, white, and blue items on the cheap.
Here’s how to create a fun patriotic table-scape for less!
DIY Wrapping Paper Placemats
Supplies:
wrapping paper
washi tape
ruler
scissors
How to:
Use a current placemat as a template for cutting out paper ones.
Secure to the table with a small piece of washi tape at each corner.
DIY Leather Wrapped Napkin Rings
Supplies:
different colors of leather string
How to:
Simply wrap the leather string around a cloth napkin and secure. (You can find a DIY No-Sew Cloth Napkin tutorial HERE.)
My leather rings actually came off the cardboard piece already wrapped like this. Easy peasy!
DIY Patriotic Place Holders/Decor
Supplies:
Patriotic printable
Oragami or craft paper
Red, white, and blue clothespins
How to:
Print and cut out patriotic labels. Fold a small square piece of craft paper at an angle and hold both pieces with a clothespin. The feet of the clothespin will be what stands on the table.
It just takes a few minutes to set a pretty table! The family and I enjoyed using it at dinner tonight but now I know that I can pull one together at the last minute for our upcoming patriotic holiday.
I really like how our kitchen rug and mint color block chairs fit in.
You can see what I did last year for our Fourth Of July Table HERE and more patriotic DIYs HERE. Make sure to check out my summer page full of DIYs, decorating tips, and printables for the season.
Thanks for stopping by today!
