We have had some beautiful weather this week on the Carolina Coast.  One of my favorite times of the year is when it is warm enough to sit outside on my porch swing to drink coffee in the mornings.

  It is time to bring “life” outdoors!   Designers love to bring outdoor furniture into indoor living spaces but what about bringing indoor furniture outdoors?  There are plenty of furniture and fabric materials that are weather resistant that can create a lovey outdoor living space.  Just as breaking up furniture sets inside helps create a well designed space, the same rule applies for outside.  Take a look a this lovely eclectic patio featured on ELLE Decor.

These eclectic spaces inspired me to “shop” my house to find pieces for an outdoor space.   I am lucky enough to have some beautiful Azaleas blooming in the background that brighten up my screened in porch.  Adding a mirror provides a focal point for the space and is unexpected.

The bistro table was our kitchen table in our first apartment.  I spray painted it and added new outdoor cushions.

The hanging lanterns create a nice ambiance for a candlelight dinner on a cool summer night.
