Friday Favorites No 1

Hello dears!! I’ve been wanting to share some of our Okinawan adventures with you but I also don’t want to stray from my blog niche.  You might have noticed (or not) that I haven’t shared many posts on the weekend including my “Fave Five Finds of the Week” and “Weekend Reflections” since we have  moved.  So after some thought, I’ve come up with a plan.

Drum roll please…. posts-feature

The line up:

Monday is when I’ll be sharing decorating tips and decor ideas.

Tuesday will be for design inspiration and mood boards.

Wednesday is for DIY projects.

Thursday is party time!

Friday is for favorite finds from around the web and our Okinawan adventures.

Holidays, Seasons, and party ideas will continue with their appropriate category.

These are pictures from our tenth anniversary lunch at the Coco Garden Resort from a couple of weeks ago.

We enjoyed an all you can eat Dim Sum buffet and tried a few “new” dishes.IMG_0595

Like this steamed squid with bbq sauce and meat filled bun. lol  Honestly, I about lost all of my lunch when I plopped the whole squid in my mouth.  I’ll stick with fried next time.

Glazed shark fin anyone?  😉 We also enjoyed a delicious salad and ramen from the diy bar.

This was some sort of pudding.  A lot of times you find dessert sweetened with bean curd.  I’m still getting used to the texture.

I really enjoyed the Japanese tea bar.  I tried a loose tea call Cat Whiskers.  It was delicious.

Other things I’ve enjoyed recently:

Some very pretty shelf papers and even prettier ideas on how to decorate with them from Emily A. Clark.

New vibrant prints from one of my favorite places to buy inexpensive art, Cozamia.

Everyday centerpiece inspiration for the dining room table.

Inspired by Charm‘s blog makeover.

A beautiful four leaf clover door decor from Blue Sky Confections.

Happy reading!! Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Dim Sum is one of those things I am always So excited about (cute panda bear dim sum anyone?) but then one tiny little bite and I always remember it’s not my thing! I’ve had shark before and really liked it but it didn’t look like an actual fin! How was that?

    1. My pleasure Emily! I’m obsessed with shelf paper right now. We are in the middle of transforming our kitchen cabinets in our Okinawan rental. 😉
