Hi there!  Did you all make it through the holiday weekend?  We (my husband) ended up cleaning up our yard from hurricane Arthur on the 4th but we still walked to the beach for fireworks in the evening.  It was a quiet weekend but so blessed to have our Marine home this year. 🙂

Updated Eclectic and Colorful Girl’s Room

My daughter’s room has had a few changes lately.  Nothing ever stays the same around here for long.   What can I say? I love to decorate!!This little black, hand-carved rocking horse came from our son’s room.  I love the ruggedness of it against the feminine decor.  He was a $5 find a few years ago in Va Beach.The IKEA light that used to sit on the side table finally when kaput so I brought in a lamp I had painted green.The lamp shade was recycled from a broken lamp.I love this basket with metal handles!!  It holds all of the doll house furniture and more.  My daughter is finally getting better at cleaning up after herself.  What can be easier than throwing it all in a container? 😉Gosh, I think my daughter’s room is the room I always wanted to have!  Hot pink and color everywhere.
