Love Your Space Challenge: Jan 2nd
Hi dears! What a great response to our first challenge. If you missed it, you can find it here. You can also read about the 31 day Love Your Space Challenge here.
We did a little with bookshelves yesterday, today’s challenge will help you with pretty and functional storage.
“Shop” the house for a couple of baskets or containers to store those toys, games, papers, (fill in the blank) out of site when not in use. Another great idea my friend Joanna from joyFULLYdwell did was use a blue trunk for a sofa table.

Until tomorrow,
I love this idea! We just moved into a much bigger house (yay!), but it doesn’t have nearly the storage downstairs that our old house did. The house looks like a wreck because of this–but I’ll be fixing that soon! 🙂
Congrats on your move!! We are right in the middle of a move but not sure whether we have to downsize or upsize yet. Have fun unpacking, organizing, decorating, and all of that fun stuff!
Ooh, looks like a fun challenge. I definitely need to get the clutter under control in this house.
Ha! If only my kids thought that too!! Thanks for the comment love.
I am sure I will love my space someday. Today is not that day, though.
🙁 You will get there! Just having one lovely room to escape to is wonderful. We (meaning I) are always changing things but I try to keep one area for us to enjoy.
My husband hates clutter and when I put out storage bins to hide things I usually end up losing them. Need a better system I guess.
Maybe clear bins? Or labels…. It’s hard when there’s a lot. 😉
This is so on time! My space needs a lot of love. I’m currently decluttering as much as I can. I want to live a more simple, clutter free life. Happy New Year
That’s wonderful Vashti! By the way, I just love your name. The book of Esther is one of my favorite stories. 🙂 Happy New Year to you too!!
I love using baskets to make storage prettier – that and bookshelves.
We are totally on the same page! 😉
Cute idea. I love baskets for everything from storage to decorating.
Me too! In pantries, closets, under “leggy” furniture, in the corner. Baskets everywhere. lol
What great ideas. I hate, hate, hate clutter. Love how nice it all looks, as well. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!! I hate clutter too!! Everything has to have a purpose and a home. 🙂
I love this challenge! So glad I found it. Your spaces look so cozy, neat and perfect. Inspiring for sure!
Thanks Annie!!
This is what we have done, with such a small space and 7 of us we have to make the most of the space!
I bet baskets and bins are a life savor! Thanks for the comment love!
It is a great idea to use storage containers to make your home look less cluttered.
Thanks Janeane! An oldie but a goodie. 🙂
Love this challenge for the 2nd day! Baskets can do wonderful things for making things look a lot less decluttered 🙂
Yeppers! 😉
I so need more storage in my house, but I love the look of less furniture. Plus, if I put a basket anywhere, there will be a cat snoozing in it. That’s not bad, right?
That’s cute!! You can always use a bin or basket with a lid if don’t want a sleeping cat in it. lol Sounds cozy though!
Baskets {check}
We use them to store everything from sippy cups to books.
Great way to stash extra stuff and add texture to the room.
Awesome! I can’t ever have enough. 😉
I like this idea. Wonderful way to hide clutter
Thanks Debbie!
Love those baskets. Simple, yet can match many interiors, plus ease of use.
Great point! They are so versatile.
This sounds like such a fun event. I love decor myself. And I really love the color schemes and pieces you used in this room in the photos. 🙂
I can’t take credit for this room. It’s my friend’s! I love her eclectic style too!!
I REALLY want the gold and turquoise tray and candle holders you have on the table!!! This is actually a great idea and the fact that you used the large, nice baskets makes it look so classy!
This is my friend’s living room. 🙂 I love that tray and those large baskets too!!
I love the idea of this! Wish I had the time and energy right now to take part…
Thanks Danielle! I usually have the energy in the middle of the night which is not ideal for picture taking! lol
This sounds like a fun challenge. I need to do some re-organizing in my house and am going to buy some cool baskets to help organize all the kids stuff.
Wonderful!! It’s one of the easiest ways to organize for the me.
