Greetings! Less than two weeks before Christmas, can you believe it? I hope you can relax, enjoy time with your friends and family, and have a renewed inspiration for the meaning of Christmas. Whatever that might mean for you.
Things are slowing down around here and we are enjoying settling into our new home and exploring this gorgeous countryside town. I’ve put together a few 5 minute DIYs for the holiday to share this week.
Mini Moss Wreath with Ribbon
a 5 minute Christmas DIY
What you need for this cute Christmas DIY:
This post contains some affiliate links for your shopping convenience. You still pay the same price but I receive a small commission. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
- dollar store mini grapevine wreaths
- moss (dollar store)
- ribbon (I used left over hot pink grosgrain ribbon)
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
make it:
Work in 2 inch sections covering your wreath with hot glue and then press pieces of moss onto it. Repeat until your wreath is covered! Shake off any loose pieces and fill in holes.
Finish off your wreath with a ribbon embellishment!
Cut the ribbon tails at an angle for a finished look. Don’t these remind you of award ribbons?
I made two mini moss wreaths for the shutters in our living room. They tie in with the touches of pink in our tree beautifully.
The pink ribbon was leftover from my daughter’s DIY candy stripe coverlet. I love the pop of color against the moss! Don’t you?

This is gorgeous! Back in November when I participated in that wreath hop, I considered an all miss wreath but changed my mind. I love how you dressed it up and this can be used all year around!
Thanks Jess! I really like the moss. It fits this house well. 🙂
I’m so glad to see you make a home wherever you go! I found your site through a series of google searches, and I’m happy to see you were in Okinawa! I’m going to move there this month! My husband is already stationed there waiting for me. How did you shop for cute pieces? Was a lot of it online?
How fun! It’s gorgeous, you’ll love it. I actually found quite a few good stores (I will totally send you pins for them!) and the gift shops ran by OSC are really great. Shopping online is a good option too for smaller items but a lot of shipping is restricted to size and weight for FPO addresses.
