plants and sneak peeks -

Hello friends. I dropped the ball on today’s post because of lighting issues. Can we talk about plants and updates instead? Thanks! You’re the best. I don’t know about you but I tend to buy house plants on the whim. I never did jump into the air plant craze but I finally got the chance when I saw them at the 100 yen store (dollar store). My kids and I have been collecting corral so I had already picked out homes for them. This cute little thing is in our downstairs bath which doubles as the guest bath since it is on the main floor. I’m a little embarrassed that we have had our upstairs bath looking pretty for some time now but I still haven’t really put the downstairs bath together. I have found a few small things for it. A rug, cool bottles for bubble bath, and other accessories.

I also transferred a plant to a 100 yen store tea mug for this space.

And found the perfect size basket for the bottom shelf of this odd wall storage.

The bathroom is looking pretty eclectic. I haven’t decided if there are too many colors and patterns in the room yet. I was really envisioning all white and neutral with an awesome rug.

A second air plant is sitting in our kitchen while I think of the perfect spot for it. It should belong in a pretty little vignette.

My last green purchase is this fuzzy potted plant that will be a part of my office makeover. He’s really cute, I’m thinking about naming it Spot.

My office nook will probably be the most feminine space in the house (apart from my daughter’s room). I have already hung a few art pieces and have reused my favorite desk accessories.
