Have you thought about Thanksgiving yet? Are you traveling or staying home? We are spending Thanksgiving with family this year which is actually a rare occurrence since most of them live half way across the country. Ah, the military life. Well, today I wanted to share with you how I put a table together for special occasions.
Tips for setting a Thanksgiving Table
Gather your table linens, dishes, and anything else that moves you. In my mind, my starting plan was to put together a table with black and white, gold, and touch of color. Here is what I started with.
Start with a blank slate. Your table should be cleared and wiped down. I’m sure most of you can skip this part, but I ALWAYS have something “happening” on my table.
Now for the centerpiece. I decided to use my DIY velvet pumpkins because they were the same colors in my settings and kept the pinecones, my DIY plaster dipped flowers, and rocks and seashells. It’s best to keep the centerpiece low profile for conversation ease across the table. Oh, and don’t forget the silverware.
How do you set your Thanksgiving table? Do you have any tips you would like to share?
