Hey there!! Have you seen the gorgeous plaster dipped flowers all over blogland? I decided to try my own and they turned out beautiful! Check out the easy DIY below.
DIY Plaster Flowers
*This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.
What you need:
Plaster of Paris (you can find this at your local hardware store or craft store)
Flowers to dip (My favorite were white roses from the dollar tree, I only needed to dip them once and they have a beautiful shape.)
Plastic container/spoon and wax paper
You do have to work pretty quick or the plaster will harden during your project.
Step one: Remove the stems and leaves from your flowers
Step two: Mix some cold water with your plaster powder (I mixed about a cup) and stir until the lumps are out and it’s about yogurt consistency.
Step three: Dip your flower, twirl it around, and completely cover it. Shake off access plaster while you are holding it inside the container. Dip again if you need more coverage.
Step four: Lay it out to dry on wax paper. Spread or shape the petals if you need to.
I can see this plaster business becoming addicting! 😉
