I’m super excited to be participating in my first One Room Challenge this week! It’s a home decor and DIY challenge for transforming a space in 6 weeks. Hundreds of bloggers participate by linking up weekly to share their progress and then finally the big reveal! I’ve heard that it can be stressful but the experience and results are completely worth it.
The room that I’m making over is our rental kitchen. When we moved a little over a year ago, it looked like this.
I’ve done some fun DIYs which you can see in the photo below but it could definitely use some more color and a “wow” factor.
Kitchen Inspiration for the One Room Challenge
paint color: Sherwin Williams Mint Condition
Here’s the plan:
Spruce up seating with a pop of color
Cover cabinet doors in a floral pattern – renter friendly
Update pulls to brass or gold
Hang new art
Add a new rug
Update tiles – renter friendly
Better organization of countertop space
Maybe try something new with the window treatments?
I can’t wait to get started! You can find all of the ORC links up HERE.
