Hi there and happy June!! How is this year almost halfway over? I’ve been working on some updates around here including a printable library that’s for subscribers.
Abstract Printable Art
When you sign up for Up to Date Interiors’ weekly newsletter, you get DIY and decorating tips, exclusive offers, and monthly freebies (that never expire) like this lovely abstract art print straight into your inbox each week. Have you signed up yet? I would love to have you as an insider!
I so enjoy creating prints for you. This time I thought I would try an abstract composition with computer graphics and am so pleased how it turned out. Doesn’t it look fabulous in a floating frame? Be on the lookout for a DIY Anthro inspired planter next week. 😉
The print is an 8×10 and best if printed on cardstock or matte photo paper.
Best of May and what’s to come!

The month started with this cute trio of peek-a-boo watercolor succulents that are also in the printable art library for subscribers. I love adding greenery to my vignettes! I just might be turning into a crazy plant lady. Faux, live, prints, I have it all!
The gals from The Global Styler shared DIYs and decor inspired by Mexico (hello Cinco de Mayo inspo!). I turned a boring faux cactus into this bright and colorful one with dollar store supplies and paint.
I’m hoping to participate in the One Room Challenge next time but I couldn’t resist sharing some of my favorite reveals from the Spring edition featuring eclectic and bold interiors!
I’m currently on an Anthropologie look-a-like kick and created these cute tassel hanging planters (for under $5!) after I spotted the Liliana hanging pot. My next Anthro inspired DIY is debuting Monday.
And a little bit about what’s going on here. We’ve been in Japan for about 3 and 1/2 years now but my husband is retiring from the military (he just hit 20 years!). We are returning home to Fort Worth in a couple of months so I’ll be in home limbo for awhile. Between now and August we are hosting quite a few visitors and taking one more big trip (to Thailand and Okinawa!) before we move. It’s going to be a busy summer!!
I still have posts lined up for the next couple of months. I may try to share a summer home tour before we start selling off furniture and preparing for our move.
There are still a lot of rental friendly ideas to share like how to use decor to open up a small space, tips for decorating a rental like an adult, how to add color to white walls, and more!
And totally off subject but have you seen The Piano? I ordered the piano music from the movie and am just loving it. Also playing a bit French music (Amelie) for fun too. It’s a nice break from Chopin and Beethoven. Maybe I’ll play for you on Instagram!!
What’s going on with you? Any big plans this summer? Leave me a comment and let’s chat!
