Best of August and What’s to Come

The Global Styler started off the month as usual this time featuring globally inspired back to school DIYs.  If you love mud-cloth, beads, tassels, and pom-poms, make sure to click over and see all of the amazing projects!

As much as I love decorating with supplies from the Japanese dollar stores, I also LOVE decorating with books! (I enjoy reading them too!)  If you are stuck on how to use your books to compliment your decor, check out these 10 creative ways!

The month ended strong with Fall related ideas, DIYs, and inspiration!  Yes, it’s my favorite season.

A few years ago, I jumped on the DIY velvet pumpkin train and love using them in my Fall decor every year.  It’s the only Fall decor that made the move to Japan so it’s fun to think of new ways to display them.

These are some of my favorites.

I also enjoy creating DIYs that look expensive but aren’t.  Here are some eclectic and stylish Fall DIYs that won’t break the bank including wall art, wreaths, pumpkins, and table setting ideas!

Earlier this week I welcomed you to an Early Fall Eclectic Home Tour featuring a color palette inspired by my Eddie Ross tablescape setting.  I shared my office in this home tour for the first time!  You might get a kick out of how small our living area is.  Check out our traditional Japanese home sitting pretty for Autumn.

And finally, here are some Fresh and Modern Fall Decorating Inspiration from some of my favorite eclectic bloggers.  They are seriously gorgeous!!

Now that school is back in session (aka the kids are out of my hair) I’m trying my best to get 3-4 new posts out to you each week.  You can expect to find new Fall decor ideas and DIYs, some home updates with new spaces I haven’t shared yet, and if you check in every day you might even see some super duper early Christmas posts.  But I might try to “hide” those for awhile from my home page.  Let’s get through Fall and Halloween first, right?

Make sure to check out 50 + Fall seasonal and holiday decorating ideas, DIYs, and free printables for the season.

And that’s August in a nutshell my friend!  How was your month?  Leave me a comment and let’s chat!
