Global Bohemian Bedroom Makeover for a Girl
Find easy DIYs and renter friendly decorating tips for small space living in this global bohemian bedroom makeover for a girl.
Well hello there! Today’s the day! The New Year New Room Refresh challenge hosted by Casa Watkins Living is complete. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Steph for organizing and hosting this amazing challenge and wish her happy birthday! Even though I’m still waiting (going on 6 weeks now…) for a few products I’m thrilled to share my daughter’s global boho bedroom. Being a military family living in off base housing overseas has its challenges (waiting weeks for online orders being one of them!) but every time I complete a room in our Japanese rental home, I appreciate Japanese design and way of life more and more. Are you ready to check out the space?

And the design!

recoverstorage cube ottoman. Still waiting on paint! Address window treatments. (Cover the ill-placed curtain rod?) Global Boho Bedroom Reveal
Centering the bed and hanging the Cozamia print made a huge difference in the room. The sand walls did not get the best of me this time!
The next big change was to shift the doll house and table to the reading nook.
The bookcase has a couple of DIYs on it. DIY art prints inspired by Wes Anderson and a dollar store Japanese inspired pencil holder.
A couple of quick furniture makeovers updated the space like this gold side table.
And I completed half a storage cube/ottoman makeover with some beautiful fabric from one of my awesome sponsors, SmithHonig.
I was able to fit a full size chair in the corner.
The dollar store boho mirror DIY brightens up a dark sand wall!
A few more details like window garland, faux plants, and a handmade heirloom kokeshi doll gifted by a talented friend fit right into this traditional Japanese room.
