Home for Christmas Holiday Tour
For this home tour, I’m starting in the foyer. The builtins received a festive touch of ornaments, twine wrapped paper trees, and store bought pinecones (they don’t exist on our sub-tropical island, boo..). They add a little glamour and texture to our beach finds, art, and color-coded books.
In the holiday home tour last week (which you can find HERE), I shared a lot of details of our Christmas decor but this time I wanted you to see what our space looks like as a whole.
Our bright Okinawan rental home was the perfect neutral backdrop to showcase an eclectic tree with a mix of copper and pink.
Pops of black and white really bring the holiday decor together in the living room and compliment the piano.
Kitty matches our fur pillows and ornaments perfectly, so naturally he’s a part of the decor. Doesn’t this picture make you chuckle?
I’ll be sharing how I repurposed our ornaments to fit into this year’s color palette soon. The tree is probably my most favorite. Here you can see it with some of the funny quirks of our Japanese home. Wall unit, oddly placed sconces and molding, pinch and pleat curtains, styrofoam ceiling…. It’s part of the experience friends.
