Paper Hearts Garland
Put a little twist on paper hearts garland with wood grain origami or craft paper. The perfect neutral decor for this special holiday.
Hello lovelies! We are arriving in Texas today but I planned ahead with a cute little Valentine’s Day project for you. I’ve had some fun wood grain origami paper that I picked up from the 100 yen store and was saving for a DIY. I love decorating for holidays in non-traditional colors or all neutrals, so if you do the same, this DIY is for you!
DIY Wood Paper Hearts Garland
Here’s what you need for the heart garland:
wood grain origami or scrap booking paper (if you can’t find any, try looking for wood grain free printables!)
heart shape stencil, cookie cutter, or free hand it!
fancy paper clips
ribbon
scissors
Make it in 2 simple steps:
Step one: Trace the heart and cut a few pages at a time. (I had my kids do the labor for me!)
Step two: Attach paper clips to the tops of the hearts and slide onto ribbon.
Easy peasy! I hung mine with two little brass animals to weigh down the ends on our faux fireplace surround.
It’s so cute I just can’t stand it!
The garland will probably be the only Valentine’s day decor my house will see because we are in Texas for most of the month.
It’s neutral enough it could even stay up longer!
