Update a Dollar Store Planter
Update a dollar store planter with spray paint!! Transform cheap plastic holders into a chic look for your indoor plants.
Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday. We had a glorious weekend but then woke up feeling sick this morning. Tomorrow hubby and I were planning on celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary a couple of days early. Our children will be in school but my husband has the day off of work. Hopefully we will feel up to it!
I bought a couple of plants this weekend at a Cherry Blossom festival and repotted them today for the house. The 100 yen store (like the Dollar Tree) had simple white plastic planters with clay colored plastic bottoms. A sweet woman had given me some gold spray paint so I updated the clay bottoms with a coat of paint. What a difference it made!
Update Dollar Store Planters

All I did was spray a couple of light coats on each side of the planter bottoms. They dried in about 20 minutes.
White and gold always works for me. Among the 100 Yen store finds, I found a plant mister, soil, and plant food.
Isn’t the mister cute? I tell ya, the 100 yen store is where it’s at!
It’s kind of funny, our loaner couch and chair closely resemble the Pantone Color of the year, Marsala. Not sure if it makes it better though! 😉 We are still waiting for our last household goods shipment to arrive. It could possibly be delivered this week. I sure miss my piano!
Catch y’all tomorrow,
Now that was simple but so pretty. Made that planter look so sophisticated.
Aw! Thanks Becca! I was just itchin’ to spray paint something… 😉
