A Room Tour You Are Gonna Love!

Hi everyone! So excited to share some pics with you today.  My master bedroom is coming along nicely.   Here is how one of the bedside tables turned out.  (You can read how I added new hardware and made a second change here.) bedside-table-painted

Not the greatest pic but you get the idea.  Not bad, eh?  We are installing the wall art tonight.  Can’t wait, eek… the framing for the art turned out beautiful. (UPDATE: You can see the wall gallery and complete room reveal here.)

So, while we are waiting for the Master bedroom reveal, I wanted to show you pictures of my sister’s master bedroom and a pretty Fall wreath that she made.red diy wreath

Isn’t it gorgeous?  I just love the vibrant colors against the white door.

First, the sitting area of her room. gray and yellow bedroom I think she painted that dresser, I will have to ask her.  I love that she hung her boyfriend’s sword on the wall.  Really cute reading area.

Okay, now for other wall!!

She got creative by hanging curtains with a pocket rod to a curtains rod on the back of the headboard wall and the ceiling to create a canopy.   The starburst mirror is hung directly on the wall between the two curtain panels. Beautiful!

Did you notice that we balanced out the lamps height by adding books to elevate one?  The two bedside tables are different heights and sizes.

Pretty awesome.  Here’s a before pic but with new bedding and lamps.  The pops of yellow are an easy fresh update to traditional furniture. grey and yellow bedroom

Even between then and now, what a difference.  She painted the dark charcoal wall and besides the bed frame, everything else is new.curtains canopy bed -ikea
That’s her kitty Sophie sittin’ in the window.

I hope you enjoyed the little tour. See you tomorrow,

    1. Whitney, the curtains and rods came from IkEA, I know they had instructions but not sure if they still do. I do know it was hung with two curtain rods because the ceiling has a slant in it and the curtains are sheer.
