Spring Vase {Anthropologie knock-off}
So you may be wondering how I come up with ideas for Spring crafts? Eh? Sometimes I just know exactly what I want to do and either it goes swimmingly or bombs. It is fun when mistakes turn into something even better. Today I am using Anthropologie vases as my inspiration. Why? Because I know I can make one with materials I already have. ๐
Inspiration Photos
Materials:
An old bottle or vase
Spray paint (I found a high gloss yellow in our spray paint bin, my husband actually contributed that one!)
Plaster Flower (Directions for making one can be found here.)
Hot Glue
How to:
Spray paint the bottle/vase (paint a few light coats to prevent drips) and let dry overnight
Hot glue your flower on!
Optional: Paint the flower (I left mine white.)
I finally put some real flowers in my vase! I love how bright and cheery it is and I hope you have a cheerful day!

I have ton of wine bottles I need to re-purpose. I love the glossy yellow!
I was surprised at how glossy it turned out. A collection of painted wine bottles would be awesome!
I am always completely amazed at what people can come up with by using simple everyday items around the house! I am not one of those people sadly…
Well, I probably look like a crazy person rummaging through my house to find things that I don’t mind changing or turning into something else. Once I get started, I just don’t stop… ๐
These are awesome! I wish I was creative! LOL
Thanks Des! I hope they inspired you to try something!! ๐
Thank you, I have found my weekend project!
So glad to hear it Ashley!! Heading over to check out your blog! “Kindred spirits” caught my eye!
Beautiful! I continually tell myself after my wedding that I want to and plan to do more DIY. I love this!
Yay! Are you doing any DIY for your wedding?
That yellow color just pops! Ps Love the lamp too
Thanks Alvina! My husband bought that paint for a project, its totally something that I would NOT pick out. I can’t believe how pretty it turned out!! Found the lamp at TJ Maxx pretty recently. Thanks for the sweet comment. ๐
So glad you are part of the tour. I love your take on the Anthro vase! Need to learn how to make the plaster flower. It looks so pretty! Here’s my take on the anthro mum vase. ๐ Great minds think alike. ๐
