A Very Global Christmas Home Tour with Pops of Boho and Glam
A Very Global Christmas series is wrapping up 12 days of globally inspired DIYs and decorating ideas with a holiday home tour featuring boho-glam touches.
Well goodness, we are wrapping up 12 days of globally inspired DIYs and decorating ideas today and it’s a little bitter sweet. I absolutely love doing this series with my friend Stephanie at Casa Watkins Living. Today I’m sharing the rest of our holiday home tour and also debuting the living and dining rooms of our new house. You can find all 12 days and last year’s series at A Very Global Christmas page.
A Very Global Christmas Home with Boho-Glam Touches
I shared our Christmas foyer and front room with you yesterday so today we’ll continue to the living and dining area. I’m starting to get the hang of taking pictures in our new but dark ranch house so please forgive the abundance of pictures and somewhat hazy ones. I was trying to capture it all!
The main focus of the living area is definitely this stone fireplace wall. It came with a floating mantel and bookcase in a wood tone. I painted the bookcase to match the trim and for fun, added our white faux fireplace surround to lighten up the right side.
I decided to move some of my brass candle sticks with tassels over here for a little pop of boho-glam. Brass is fantastic year around but can ooze holiday festiveness during this season.
I have a couple of brass cranes on the coffee table and displayed some DIY chinoiserie ornaments in a wood bowl.
There’s a few more DIY ornaments in a crystal dish on the sofa table that tie in with the ornaments on the fireplace garland. The garland also has some white ostrich feathers tucked in and two ceramic antlers to hold our DIY linen stockings.
If you spin around you face the dining room and kitchen. It’s a long, narrow space. I’m dying to purchase an appropriately sized dining table but we have to wait for a government furniture claim on our existing one since it was damaged in the move.
The little sliver of wall to the left is an outside wall of our office. It’s the perfect spot for our bar cart and bird painting.
A nativity lamp that my grandmother gave me sits on the bottom and Christmas cocktail napkins sit on top!
And that leaves the dining room and kitchen. You can see all the details of our dining buffet with how to style a colorful and eclectic Christmas vignette.
I snuck a picture of our Misha-dog. She has been such a sweet dog and traveled to Japan with us and back. Our cat we adopted in Japan ran away the first night we moved back to Fort Worth. He was a feral cat so I have high hopes he’s doing okay. 😉
And that wraps up A Very Global Christmas series! Make sure to pop over to Casa Watkins Living if you have’t yet and scroll down to the bottom of yesterday’s home tour post to see more home tours from A Very Merry Christmas blog hop.
