How are you today? My husband and I are celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary! This makes me feel somewhat old. Ha.
I’ve been working on my daughter’s room which was lacking storage. All we had, as far as furniture goes, are a government issued bed frame and dresser. Not really a good start. The closets in her room are huge but didn’t contain any shelving. We found an inexpensive solution with a $40 bookcase, $15 3 drawer storage unit, and a couple of “S” hooks.
We kept her clothes hanging up out of reach otherwise, all of her dresses would end up on her and the floor first thing in the morning. Our daughter’s pjs and play clothes are accessible in the dresser’s bottom drawers.
So I’ve already caved in and bought my daughter a kimono. lol It’s really cute and might end up being displayed somewhere in her room.
The 3 drawer storage unit houses all of her doll house furniture and people. The closet on the right will probably hold some of our off season clothes.
The “S” hooks were from the 100 yen store and are awesome. They hold my daughter’s umbrella, extra bags, and her kitchen items tote.
Well, there you have it! For about $55 I managed to provide easy storage for my daughter to keep her things organized.
Now the fun part, decorate her room! You can find her previous bedroom tour here.
In case you were wondering…. Yes, those dimples are why I married him. 😉
