Bohohemian Christmas Home Tour Part 3
Yep, you read that right! I’ve shared my French, Modern-bohemian Christmas tree and the front half of the house earlier in November and participated in a kid-friendly decorating blog hop featuring easy Christmas tree ideas for kids. Make sure to visit those stories for more French-inspired Christmas decor!
Now I get to show you our new bathroom all dolled up for the holidays and the living and dining areas.
Boho Christmas Garland in the Bathroom
I just revealed the One Room Challenge bathroom makeover two short days ago but couldn’t wait to add some greenery for Christmas. A simple garland over the mirror and green tassel added just the right pop.
The beautiful floral painting was done by my late aunt. I have her paintings all over the house!

Nothing says Christmas to me other than the warm glow of candlelight and Christmas lights. I decided to keep that in today’s pictures.

I just love how the mirror reflection shows the other half of the bathroom with black walls and a colorful gallery wall. I also made a custom floral roman shade and matching extra long shower curtain with trim.
It shows off the marble bathtub surround and white marble floors beautifully. There’s a matching tall cabinet in that half of the bathroom as well.

Boho Christmas Decor in the Living Room
Back in the main living space, I’ve added small touches of Christmas throughout with garland and battery-operated candles.
Since my daughter is doing school remotely, we set her up at this desk to keep an eye on her. I found it at a garage sale with my grandfather years ago for $40. Grandpa and I also found the beautiful painting at an estate sale and knew the local artist.

The gold bar cart is simply styled with pinecone and berry garland and a few Christmas treasures but the show stopper is the collection of blue and white pottery and ceramics.

It goes right back to the dining area with the dark blue chairs and glass Romeo Rega dining table. I recently splurged on floral Anthropologie curtains and created a faux roman shade with one of them.
Please excuse the patchwork on the ceiling. We’ve had a lot of work going on the house. I’m excited to say that all that is left is to touch up the paint!

You can find all the details about a recent dining room update with a cabinet makeover in this post. You won’t believe how easy it was to transform an Ikea cabinet into the cane cabinet in this picture complete with bespoke pulls.

A green lotus tassel is perfect for a touch of boho Christmas decor. The art gallery wall features more local artists.

I’m totally obsessed with garland this year. It’s so easy to use! Just tuck it behind mirrors and if you want a symmetrical look, cut it in half and hang the two ends together from the middle of the mirror.

I had to move some furniture around for the large Christmas tree to fit so our living room is feeling extra cozy. I decided on rose garland mixed in Christmas garland to add to the modern-bohemian vibe.
It looks super cute with white stockings trimmed with fur and pom-poms. Brass accents and color-coded books are my go tos and pair beautifully with the French boho Christmas decor.

My favorite DIY in this area is the faux German smear I did on the fireplace stone two summers ago. It was under $10.
Leftover pampas grass from the Fall is still out and feels right at home in this setting. π
