Repurposed ornaments with ribbon tape- an easy diy and a great way to save money on “new” Christmas decor!
Hi there friends. I can’t believe it’s time to post my first Christmas DIY of the season. After our big move to Japan during the holidays last year, I couldn’t wait to put up our tree and start the holiday season this year! I’m just so excited how these repurposed ornaments turned out and can’t wait to share with you how easy and cheap it was.
DIY Ribbon Tape Ornaments
A couple of months out before Christmas I start thinking about what colors to use. I don’t go out and buy a lot of new things each time, but I do repurpose old Christmas decor and shop the dollar store for Christmas finds and diys. This year, I knew I wanted to incorporate a lot of our house colors; pops of black and white, gray, and copper. I’m also adding a little blush pink and fur to soften the color palette. For the first time, I put an inspiration board together. Wanna see?
So now you saw a sneak peek of what is coming into our Christmas decor!
Repurposed Ornaments with Ribbon Tape
I found a pack of four ribbon tape spools at the 100 Yen store (“dollar store”) that had the perfect pink with gold specks. After searching for some white and matte brown/copper ornaments out of the ornament bin, I transformed them in about 5 minutes. The best kind of DIY!
I can’t wait to start the next ornament makeover. These turned out so pretty! You can find more Christmas DIYs HERE!
